COORG PERSON 2022: RASHMIKA’S TWEET CREATES HUGE SOCIAL MEDIA BUZZ

Actress Rashmika Mandanna’s tweet thanking the people of Kodagu (Coorg) and the news portal www.coorgtourisminfo.com for selecting her as Coorg Person of the Year has created a huge social media buzz.
Her tweet garnered 2.77 lakh views, 300 retweets, and over 5,000 ‘likes’ so far, something unheard of for a tweet involving Kodagu district in Karnataka.
Rashmika had tweeted: “This makes me feel really happy. I’ve always in my mind hoped that one day I’d make my people proud and this proves that I did something right.. thank you so much for the love my darlings. Thank you coorgtourisminfo.com makes my heart happy.”
Besides the huge response on Twitter, most of the major national news portals picked up the tweet and wrote features.
India Today said: “Rashmika Mandanna has been named Coorg Person of the Year 2022 by a portal. She thanked the portal for the recognition with a heartfelt tweet.”
Times of India news portal wrote: “On one hand, in the last weeks, Rashmika was facing too much hate and trolls for her statements and actions in her interviews. This news has made Rashmika very happy knowing she has been chosen as ‘Coorg Person Of The Year 2022’ and Rashmika shared her happiness by taking to her Twitter account and thanking the online portal.”
