BORDERLANDS WINS NATIONAL FILM AWARD

By P.T. Bopanna

Borderlands, a documentary co-produced by Devaiah Bopanna (in picture) has won an award at the 68th National Film Awards for 2022 announced in New Delhi on Friday.

Borderlands won the award for ‘best editing’ for Anadi Athaley under the non-feature film category.

The documentary feature film captures the human side of life in the Indian borderlands.  It is an intimate exploration of how everyday lives intertwine with borders in the Indian subcontinent.

It may be recalled that Borderlands had been shortlisted in 2020 to go to Cannes Film Festival in the category of ‘Work in Progress’.

Devaiah co-founded All Things Small (ATS), a media company in 2019. Their first documentary feature film ‘Borderlands’ made it to Cannes.
