AUTHOR SARITA MANDANNA OF ‘TIGER HILLS’ FAME HAS COME OUT WITH A NEW BOOK

By P.T. Bopanna

Coorg-born Sarita Mandanna (in picture) whose debut novel Tiger Hills became a bestseller, has come out with a new book.

Kodagu (Coorg) district in Karnataka was the setting of her debut novel which was translated into 14 languages worldwide and was longlisted for the Man Asian Literary Prize.

She has a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, and a management degree from the Wharton School.

Her latest book ‘The War Elephants of Trigarta’ is a gripping tale of bravery, loyalty, and the extraordinary bond between a girl and her mischievous elephant, published by Aleph Book Company.

This book is part of the Bold Chronicles series, which brings Sarita’s love of storytelling to younger readers. Spanning a period of 2,500 years, each tale is inspired by a real moment from India’s rich and layered history. At the heart of every adventure is an unlikely young hero or heroine who must summon courage, wit, and heart to make their way through extraordinary times.

Besides Tiger Hills, she authored ‘Good Hope Road’ in 2015, which is a historical novel, focusing on two American volunteers in the French Foreign Legion during World War I. She also authored ‘Secret Among the Stars’ last year. The book is an engaging blend of historical imagination and speculative science fiction written for young readers.

Her books are available online, at both Amazon and Flipkart.
