COORG PERSON OF THE YEAR 2025: WHO IS YOUR CHOICE?

Dear Friends,

The time has come to select the ‘Coorg Person of the Year, 2025’.

You may be aware, I have been conducting an annual poll since 2005 through my portal www.coorgtourisminfo.com to select the ‘Coorg Person of the Year’.

The ideal person would be someone who has worked for the cause of Kodagu or won laurels and made Kodagu proud. The person could be from any field or community.

Given below are some of the probables for your guidance:

Gulshan Devaiah, actor.

Prof B.K. Thelma, scientist behind first genetic study of Kodavas.

Dr U.T. Uthappa, recognised as “World’s Top 2 per cent Scientist.”

The concept of Coorg Person of the Year was conceived by me with a view to identify ‘role models’ in Kodagu. I brought out a book in 2021, profiling the winners of the ‘Coorg Person of the Year’ title from 2005 to 2020.
